My godson!

Hi!! I was in doubt about what I was going to post today and I decided to tell you about my godson!
His name is Rafael but I call him of Rafinha!
He born in april the 19th, 2009 so now he is 2 months old! When he born he was 1,57 ft and his weight was 7,21 lbs!
My boyfriend and I are the godparents because Rafael's mother (Rúbia) has been working in my boyfriend's house for more or less 5 years and she is really kind!
Since I started dating Diogo I used to say to Rúbia that I would like to be her bedpan if she had a child and so, when she had it, she didn't think twice! hehehe
We really get a long well! I like her so much and I know that this is reciprocal =)
Rúbia is 34 years old and she already has a daughter but she is adopted so Rafael is her first biological child! Rúbia isn't married but she and her boyfriend (Adelar) have been together for 8 years, they are almost married!
Rúbia came back to work one month ago and she carries Rafael with her to her service!
She is poor and finished school last year! I admire her a lot because she is a very hard-working woman. She is worthy, polite and very friendly!
I know that she is going to be a great mother! And I hope that Rafael will be a good son!
My godson is very beloved, he is really calm and doesn't disturb anyone!
Because of the university I can't see Rafael as often as I would like to but at least I see him all Saturdays!
I got emotional two Saturdays ago because I woke up in the morning and Rúbia was holding my godson, so I said "Rafinhaa you're already woke up" (with a happy voice) and then Rúbia showed me to Rafael and said "Look Rafael, is your godmother!" and I said "Hiii Rafinha, my dear!! I missed you so much!" so Rafael openned his arms in my direction and gave a huge laugh! Oh my God! I just held him in my arms and started to cry! His laugh was so pure and so moving that I couldn't control myself!
Ahh only talking about him and remembering his smooth face I'm already missing him! =(
Well, that's it!
Please talk about all my mistakes, ok?
Kisses for you all and have a good week!

How fortunate we are!

Hi guys! This week my post is not going to be a completely happy post as the others! But if you stop to think you'll realize that we must be happy for ourselves after seeing this post! Do you usually thank God for your life? You should! We should! Guys, I received an e-mail last week talking just about this and from then on I started to thank God all the days! This photos which I put here were in the e-mail! I'm sure you'll be shocked! And please, don't be angry with me for my sad post, sometimes it's necessary. And I think that this is more important than talk about music!
So...let's consider that y
ou all thank God everydays. For what do you thank? For your life as a general idea, probably. And... what about your food? Ahh probably you thank for it too. But, what about the water? Yes, the water! It's starting to be rare, isn't it? And even knowing this detail, do you thank for the water that you have? I confess that I don't remember of have already thanked for having water! Do you usually waste food? If you do, I think that you should think twice before doing it! If we add the food that we all waste, certainly everybody in the world would have something to eat! Can you imagine how many people die of hunger everyday in the world? Just talking about children the numbers are already terrible! According to FAO's information (in 2002), anually at least 5 million children die of hunger in all the world, which is more or less a death every 5 seconds!!!(here you can see more details)
And talking about general people (not only children), according to ONU, in 2003 841 million people died by hunger, which means that more than two million people dies of hunger every day, more than malaria, AIDS and tuberculosis kill together! (more information here) Could you imagine these numbers? I couldn't! This is really awful!
We have to be glad for live in this part of the worl
d! And I'll not talk about the other things that we should be glad because they become nothing compared to food and water!
Take a look at the pictures and
have a reflection moment about them!

"The photo was the 'Pulitzer prize' winning photo taken in 1994 during the Sudan famine. The picture depicts a famine stricken child crawling towards and United Nations food camp, located a kilometer away. The vulture is waiting for the child to die so that it can eat it. This picture shocked the whole world. No one know what happened to the child, including the photographer Kevin Carter who left the place as soon as the photograph was taken. Three months later he committed suicide due to depression." (Paragraph took from the e-mail that I talked about)

Now I ask you: won't you give more value for everything you have?

In the e-mail that I received was wrote:
"This is one more reason why we have to thank God for the food that we can have easily...
But in the other hand... ironically, we still waste the food that we buy.
I feel very grateful for what I have today...
We are so blessed for the wonderful works of God's hand in our life today, just think of this...
I feel very fortunate to live in this part of the world.
I promise I will never waste my food no matter how bad it can taste and how full I may be.
I promise not to waste water.
I pray that this little boy be alleviated from his suffering.
I pray that we will be more sensitive towards the suffering in the world around us and not be blinded by our own selfish nature and interests.
I hope these pictures will always serve as a reminder to us about how fortunate we are and that we must never take things for granted.
Think and look at this... when you complain about your food and the food we waste daily..."

Think about it!
Please, leave your comment about the text and the pictures and about my mistakes too!
Thank you! Have a good week!

Music: Everything is possible!

Hii! Today I'm going to present you an incredible video! I hope that you haven't watched yet!!
This video show us that everything is possible. Not just in music but in the life too. Try to watch all the video because it's very good:

Isn't fantastic what they do with simple things in an apartment? They are really very good in what they do. They have rythim, harmony, criativity and talent!
I think that the soul's music is what I mentionned above. If you have this 4 aspects so you will be a musician! You don't need to study but you have to like of what you do and be perseverant!

As I said, watching this video we can realize that everything is possible. They did music with books, bed, toothbrush, toilet, medicine, etc. (Sincerely I didn't like what they did with the books. The sound was great but poor books!) And from this video we can use the same thought for our lives. With little things we can do much! If we want, everything is possible! We just have to be perseverant. Having effort you can go for anywhere you want and get everything you wish!

Music: Susan Boyle

Hii guys! Thank you for the visit!! Well, keeping my "music topics", today I'm going to talk about Susan Boyle! Maybe you've already heard about her on TV and maybe you didn't. Watch to this video and after I'll talk about that:

In my opinion she's really incredible!! She is like an angel! Her voice makes us feel wonder! When I looked at her I thought "Oh my God... what fuck is that? Well, at least I am going to have good laughs!" and when she opened her mouth: I had a VERY BIG SURPRISE!! I felt so bad after watch her presentation! We are so bad, so prejudiced... Why can't an "ugly person" sing well and have talent?? Why we tend to laugh when she says that she wants to be a professional singer? Why a professional singer must have an appearance as Madonna and Britney Spears have? Why we underestimate people? Our society is rigid, it doesn't accept ugly people, poor people, fat people, strange people, disabled people, sick people, black people and it almost doesn't accept "good people". Our society is cruel! People have to be really good to be recognized. People can't be a simple "Maria" or "João". They must have power and must be IN the society!!! I want to say that you can be ugly if you are rich for example! You can be poor, if your father was very considerated by the society! And so on...
Susan did the right thing! She got what she wants by herself, by her own talent and even being poor, ugly and strange now she is recognized by all the society!
After knowing her, I'm a Susan Boyle's fan! Not just for her talent, but for her honor too!
I saw a documentary in which they talk about Susan. In this documentary Susan says that she is unemployed, single and lives just with a cat. She is already changing her mode of dress and worrying about her own appearance! It is good and one more time the society is acting to change a person! Sometimes it changes for the better and sometimes it changes for the worse!
Good luck Susan! I'm sure that you deserv all the success you are going to have!
